I've just had a baby poem by Lucy Beckley

My poem following the prompt from Annie Ridiout and The Mum Poem Press, I've just had a baby. It's also a little ode to surgical births during Caesarean Section Awareness Month.

While the dust
Of my being
Carpets the floor
Sparkly particles
Of the one
I was before
The muscle memory
Still twitches
A throbbing
Ache
All that
Is left
Is raw
A new
Configuration
A smile forever
Sewn
Into my knicker line
A scar shaped reminder
Of how you came
Into this world
